The RADIS research network is entering its second funding phase. This fall and winter, ten new projects in the social sciences, humanities, and cultural studies will get underway. These projects are supported by the BMFTR funding program “Islamism: Effects, Counter-Strategies, and Preventive Measures.”
The projects examine the causes and consequences of Islamism and analyze how prevention and intervention can be made more effective. More information on the new projects will follow in the coming months.
Which strategies do Islamists use to put pressure on Muslim communities? How and by whom can radical Islam be counteracted? How do Muslims perceive the changes prompted by Islamist radicalisations and what is being discussed, taught, and preached in Muslim milieus? Researches from twelve projects explore these and many more questions.
