This edited volume presents the findings of the BMFTR funding programme, bringing together the work of over 100 scholars who examined the phenomenon of Islamism between 2020 and 2025. The volume focuses on the causes of radicalisation, broader societal dynamics and interdependencies, prevention strategies, as well as political, media, and civil society discourses. The contributions draw on a wide range of disciplines from humanities and social sciences, offering valuable insights for both academic research and practical work in the fields of Islamism and radicalisation.
All projects within the RADIS network are represented in the volume with an individual contribution.
The volume is available as an eBook and in softcover format and is currently being translated into English for our international audience.
